Mobility Express began as a single Home Medical Equipment (DME) retail store in Holiday, Fl in 1993. By 1997, three Dealership stores opened in Sebring, Clearwater, and Bradenton, Florida.
By 2002 the dealership network consisted of 13 retail stores and 4 affiliate locations. In 2003, the Florida base network expanded to Georgia and Pennsylvania, with two retail stores in each state. The company continued to operate as both a supplier of Home Medical Equipment and a retailer until 2004 when the company was converted into a dealership concept with the creation of Mobility Express Dealer Division.
Mobility Express has since grown to become an industry leader in the DME market in the USA, thanks in large part to its unique approach to the selling process. Mobility Express recognized two distinct markets in the DME sector-Retail DME and Rehab DME.
Accordingly, Mobility Express developed educational programs and marketing systems designed to reach these distinct markets. This strategic approach has contributed significantly to the success of the Mobility Express brand- to the point where Mobility Express is now America’s largest and fastest growing independent Durable Medical Equipment company.
